First Impressions
The Z600NE packaging was impressive, double packed to ensure minimum risk of damage by heavy-handed couriers. The outer carton has a neat label providing the full specification of the notebook. The inner carton again had the specification label, coupled with the content details. Once the carton is open all items are securely held and can be removed with ease. The first thing that hits you when you remove the Z600NE is the weight at an insubstantial 1.7Kg which includes the battery, and you are then mesmerised by the striking good looks of the notebook in the now familiar Sony Vaio colour scheme of silver and lilac, the casing is manufactured by using a form of magnesium alloy.

Sony has provided a decent user manual along with a starter guide to ensure you are up and running in no time, to assist you further a Sony Notebook Set-up CD helps you through any possible questions you may have. All in all this does gain Sony extra brownie points. We have to add at this stage we would have had no regrets with having to part with our hard earned cash.
